Dear Parents,
Welcome back! Once we’ve reached the end of the calendar year the rest of the school year seems to pick up even greater speed. Fast as it may go, we hope you will take the time to stop, notice and enjoy all that is happening at school and with CISPA.
We have recently launched our own newsletter, The CISPA Beat, which is emailed directly to parents each Wednesday. This is the latest in our efforts to improve communications with parents and help build awareness of the activities in which they may like participate.
On January 28, we will be showing the documentary film Inside Hana’s Suitcase, which students in Grade 6-8 were privileged to see in November and even more privileged to meet with and question two of the film’s central characters as well as the director. Students age 12 and above, and particularly those in Grade 9 who have been studying World War II, are encouraged to attend.
Parents will have the chance to chat during our next series of coffee mornings, Coffee Beans by the Grade, the week of February 1. Join us in the LLAC on Monday with Grade 3 - 6 parents from 8:30 -10:30; Wednesday for Upper School parents 8:30-10:30; and Friday for Pre-Rec to Grade 2 from 8 -10.
The two big events before the Chinese New Year holiday are the CNY student concerts (February 11) and CISPA’s Flower Fair. The Flower Fair is February 9; parent volunteers are still needed, so if you would like to add some smiles to the celebration welcoming in the Year of the Tiger, sign up today.
