Fall 2009 Assessment and Reporting Information Packs
- Achievement Descriptors Achievement descriptors refer to the student’s knowledge, understanding and skill as commented on in the Learning Update and subsequent Progress Reports.
- A Reflection of Me as a Learner The aim of the PYP is expressed through a set of desirable attributes that will characterize a successful student striving to be a global citizen and leader. Each student has chosen the attributes they believe best reflect them and explained why through pictures and/or words.
- Assessment and Evaluation, Reporting Policy and Procedures The primary purpose of assessment is to improve student learning. Information collected through assessment helps teachers to determine students’ strengths and weaknesses in their achievement of the expectations in all areas of the curriculum.
